Nomadic Travel was established in 1999 to service the needs of the more independent-minded traveller seeking an alternative to the narrow confines of a beach or resort holiday.

We felt strongly that there was a lack of meaningful assistance offered by the main high street travel agents for anything that went beyond the traditional 'sun and sea' package. Consequently, we set about carefully selecting from the many hundreds of specialist tour operators a range of quality holiday products that we believe represents one of the most diverse choices of travel itineraries available.

Whether it is a balloon ride over the Serengeti, luxury honeymoons in Bora Bora, a journey on the Trans-Siberian railway or a multi-stop round-the-world flight, we provide an informative and fully supportive travel service.

Our service concept was clearly warranted as we have grown rapidly since our inception with an astonishingly high level of repeat custom and word of mouth referrals. Our clients tell us again and again how invaluable our in-depth knowledge is in helping to arrange their travel itineraries.

Our Staff: At the heart of our service is expert advice from well-travelled staff. Our 'grassroots' travel experience is essential in enabling us to give the best possible advice to our clients. Between us we have visited over 80 countries and we can give you first-hand knowledge of what a particular destination is like, what to especially see and do whilst you are there and any pitfalls that should be avoided. As experienced travellers we like to 'tell it as it is' and we give straightforward, honest advice on all aspects of the itineraries we are asked to assist with.

Our Clients: From retirees wishing to see the breathtaking beauty of Antarctica on a small expedition voyage, romantics wanting to experience Africa at its best on a luxury safari, to parents and children wanting a family adventure holiday, or a relaxing villa in Tuscany. Our clients come from all walks of life and are as diverse as the itineraries they ask us to assist with. We take great pleasure in working closely with our clients whom are typically well-informed, open-minded individuals with a self-evident passion for travel.

How we work: Once an initial enquiry has been made (by telephone or email in most instances) we will discuss with you your travel brief and make suggestions as appropriate. An itinerary is evolved until such time that we are in a position to provide a quotation for your requirements. Following this, the brief may be revised accordingly before being finalised.

To proceed with booking we usually require a deposit of around 10% of the total travel costs, or the full amount if your departure date is within 8 weeks of booking. As agents, we do not levy a fee for our advice and booking service. Our income is earned as commission from our chosen specialist tour operators. We deal with around 120 different operators and our reputation is dependent on being able to identify the best operator for your particular travel brief.

Financial security: Nomadic Travel Ltd is a full member of the Travel Trust Association and this membership provides that client monies are held in a trust account until all contractual obligations are completed. This arrangement entirely satisfies the strict guidelines of the UK travel industry regarding consumer protection.

The air holidays and flights we offer are ATOL Protected by the Civil Aviation Authority, and we act as agents for licensed tour operators. The flight bookings we make are also ATOL Protected, except when the tickets for scheduled flights are sent to you within 24 hours of payment being accepted, or where your payment is made direct to airlines.
