Sabbaticals and extended journeys

An increasing trend of late is our clients asking us to help with lavishly planned extended trips and, despite what many of our customers initially believe, we absolutely relish getting involved with arranging such mid-life sabbaticals (or ‘extended retirement party’ as one older couple described their own particular odyssey). 

For example, we are currently receiving excited email updates from one self-styled ‘mature gapper’ who is in the midst of his own personalised 8 week trip which started with a safari in Botswana before moving on to Australia and New Zealand (for some hiking in South Island), then onwards to Japan and China where he will be boarding the Trans-Mongolian railway through to St Petersburg before heading back to the UK.

Another such trip we have arranged has a couple travelling through South America, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia and SE Asia with everything from overland truck travel to luxury accommodation included and involves us in orchestrating the services of 8 different tour operators to make it all happen! 

So if you have a grand plan in mind, please don't feel shy to ask – we thrive on a challenge and like to think that no trip is too difficult!
