The first total solar eclipse to pass over mainland Europe since 1999 is due to arrive soon on 12th August, when Greenland, Iceland, Portugal and Spain will each experience the excitement of ‘totality’.

Remaining spaces on tours to see this eclipse have long been snapped up but there are still places available for next year’s big eclipse event which occurs on 2nd August 2027.

This eclipse will pass over Spain, Gibraltar, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt.

Enjoying an eclipse to its maximum effect is very much about having clear skies and this particular swathe of countries which are famed for their sunshine, offer an excellent chance of getting an outstanding view.

Also, at a totality of around 5 minutes, this eclipse is one of the longest it is possible to see.

Get in touch for the latest update on availability for tours in the above countries.
