From Monday 19 July, amber listed countries effectively turn ‘green’ for travellers who have been fully vaccinated, meaning there is no further need for self-isolation when returning home.

It’s the news so many of us have been waiting for!

The Government has declared that adults who have been vaccinated and children under 18 will be able to travel to all countries classified as green or amber without 10 days quarantine on arrival back into the UK.  Significantly too, the existing Foreign Office advice against non-essential travel to amber countries will also be removed in most instances from 19 July.

For double-jabbed travellers yesterday’s announcement opens up most of Europe as well as countries further afield as diverse as Cuba, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Russia and Uzbekistan.

We’re excited to see the world re-opening for our clients again and look forward to new bookings exceeding re-bookings and cancellations for the first time in 15 months! This week, even before the eagerly anticipated amber countries announcement, has been our busiest yet for enquiries since the pandemic began.

The ‘travel bug’ is beginning to win its arm-wrestle with Covid!

Best wishes,
