‘Sail & Hike Greece: Mykonos to Athens’

Starting in lively Mykonos, cruise the sparkling Aegean Sea aboard a private yacht and drop anchor at islands that seem unchanged by time. ‘Vietnam’s Northern Soul’

Stretching down through China from the heights of the Tibetan Plateau, Vietnam’s northern mountains are vast, remote and populated primarily by ethnic minority groups. This route eschews the classic destinations in favour of a deep-dive into that mountain world.

Enjoy Vietnamese cuisine on a food tour of Hanoi, go on a full-day trek through the Red Dao minority villages, rice terraces and tea plantations of Hoang Su Phi; spend four days travelling through the north, stopping in hilltop villages, hiking in the mountains and finally enjoying a two-night cruise in spectacular Lan Ha Bay.

Svalbard Crossing

Svalbard has that undeniable pull of the North. It occupies a special place at the top of the globe almost as far north as the Pole itself.

This expedition is an 11-day self-supported crossing, taking in the summit of Newtontoppen, the highest peak in Svalbard. Before taking the skidoo transfer into the wild, the group prepares in Longyearbyen, practising polar bear protection procedures and checking gear. From there, the journey begins on snowshoes pulling pulks and camping in polar tents.

‘Mountains of the Moon’
